A lot of readers have a desire to read more for the new year, but a lot of them never have the time to do so. This at least is the excuse that they give themselves when the year has come to an end and they have read no more than they may have assumed they would read the year before. In order to read more people must make a New Year’s resolution with a better focus on time management.

Try Audiobooks

All of those that are struggling with reading physical books need to look at what audiobooks are bringing to the table. This is a great way to multitask. People that may not have the time to pick up a physical book and read it may be able to utilize audiobooks that they can listen to in the car. Listeners can even play these while they are doing work around the house.

Consider Book Clubs

People that want to focus on more reading for the new year are going to benefit greatly from getting into a book club. When they get with others that are also reading what they are reading it becomes more of a challenge. Some people may just need others to encourage them. The thought of discussing the book when it is finished may entice those that have struggled to finish any books on their own. That tends to be one of the best ways to create a desire to read. It also keeps the reader focused on finishing one book before moving on to another.

Time Management Helps With Reading Goals

A number of people find themselves struggling with reading because they have not put time management at the forefront. In 2020 it is going to work better for potential readers to look at ways that they can focus their energy on reading at their most productive hours.

There are readers that are early risers that have more energy when they get up. If this is a case it would be a good idea to allow 30 minutes to an hour for reading each morning. This is especially helpful for those that may find themselves too sleepy to read before they go to bed.
